Meet the founder

Tanishq Sonawane is the founder and CEO of Quant Prop Pilot, an independent prop firm comparison and research site. Tanishq built the company around one simple idea: a trader choosing a prop firm should be able to see every firm's rules side by side, measured the same way, with the source one click away.

Before Quant Prop Pilot, Tanishq worked at major banks as a trade surveillance manager and as a senior risk associate on a major prop trading desk. Seeing trading from the surveillance and risk side showed how unfair the environment can be for retail traders, and it sparked a drive to help traders get a fair reward for their effort.

Tanishq also brings hands-on trading experience from an Indian prop desk, an international commodities desk, and arbitrage and derivatives desks. In late 2024, Tanishq moved into prop firm trading and learned its real hardships first-hand, including how much win rate and risk-to-reward decide which traders succeed. Seven years of watching charts, followed by three years of working with data, led to the creation of Quant Prop Pilot.

Today, Tanishq sets Quant Prop Pilot's research and editorial direction, oversees the prop firm comparison hub and the daily 7 AM Market Briefing, and hosts the Quant Prop Pilot Live podcast. The company is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and writes for traders worldwide.

• Sources first. Fees and rules are checked against each firm's own website, help center or rules page, and every briefing item links to the page it came from.
• Dated and corrected. Every firm page shows when its data was last checked. Prop firms change their rules often; if you spot something out of date, tell us and we correct it.
• Independent. A firm cannot pay for a better score, more best points or fewer red flags.
• Education, not advice. We explain how firms and markets work. Nothing on the site is financial advice.
